muffler touching fiberglass body, help please

Muffler shop'll bend the pipes down an inch. Might could do it yourself if you have a 5-6-foot "attitude adjustment" bar in the garage.

In this case, I think the muffler shop would be money well spent....

That's an old S&S header. I ran one for about 10 years that way until it rusted out. I had no problem with the pipes being close to the body.

Had I been able to find another, I'd probably still have one. They stopped making them. I went to a different system using a Magneflow  stainless muffler.
