I was wondering what kind of tools you guys carry on the Speedster knowing that space is very limited? Are there any tool set out there that you would recommend?

I got a genuine VW Mexico tool kit that I bought from CB Performance for $24.95. It's got mostly everything you need to do basic servicing to your VW (Convertible screwdriver (phillips and regular), 13 mm wrench, spark plug/wheel lug nut socket and bar). I bought separately and added the VW hubcap removing tool. I also added a compact hydraulic jack but a small scissor jack would probably work better.

I always carry one of each along with my tools:
throttle cable
clutch cable
fan belt
2 to 3 feet of fuel line
a can of fix-a-flat

Hammer (can sub a roadside rock:) vise grip, electrical tape....oh and the Duct Tape.

If you have an alternator like I do, then I would also recc. a 19mm wrench and a spare belt.
