2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata. For those so inclined.

People can say what they will, but these have always been great cars to drive. This is now a very nice looking car as well.
It's an S2000 look alike, with a shorter nose.
Looks like Mazda really got it right for the next model year. No more Mazda jokes for me, except when a Pink one with rainbow trim and a certain driver are involved. bwa ha ha ha ha ha!
The "Speedstah Guy" Has driven an MX-5.
Or, more specifically, I have driven a "Spec Miata" around Summit Point Raceway, pretty much at speed (or, at least, as fast as I was willing ro push it) in a "Spec Series" race. A "Spec Miata" is one set up to detailed specifications to enable it to race in its class. This requires no engine or suspension modifications (no turbo in the class I supported), although the interior can be gutted for weight gains, and a full roll cage and 5-point harness is mandatory, as well as a hard top, a fuel ceel and a few other mods.
That said, the MX-5 is one amazingly agile and neutral car that takes thrashing well and keeps on handling well beyond the limits of most drivers.
Take all that learned from past models and put that really sexy body on it, and I think you'll have a winner, regardless of whether it's considered a "secretary's car" or not. while it is way to refined to be compared to a Speedster, it is one hell of an automobile, none-the-less.
Art, what is that car? It's amazing!
Cole the first pic is the 2016 Mazda Miata. The second is the new Alfa Romeo, which I read today is going to be produced in Japan in partnership with Mazda. That is a way too cool car. Google.... Mazda Alfa Romeo.
Also, Marty thanks for the info.
Alfas, one of the few Italian cars I like! That one looks nice, and yes, Miatas handle!
Gordon, there is also a spec-Boxster class. I would love to drive one of those or a spec-Miata against all of the boys and girls on here. Now that would be something! Rent a track and a fleet of equal cars. SWEEET day!
drove a Miata as a daily driver for years-what a treat every day!will have to get another some day
My wife loves her '09 MX-5 and says she'll never let it go. They do handle very well have all the bells and whistles and hers only has 35,000 miles .When she sees the new ones things may change. My only problem is the interior is cramped and the seats don't recline very much unless you pull the seats forward, and then you lose leg room. Great car for a spirited back road blast but not so much for a long highway run.
