After spending the Spring sorting out my VS 1915 cooling problems, I finally hit the road north for a 500 mile ride. I took Highway 99 up thru Yuba City & Chico on my way to Shasta County to visit friends. The temperature was in the mid 90's all weekend. Even when I pulled the hills around Shasta and Whiskey Town lakes, my recently installed oil cooler prevented over-heating. On the way home, I cruised down I-5 at 65 MPH to come up with 36.3 miles per gallon. Durring my tour, I saw two 356's: one a coupe and the other a Vintage Speedster with roll up windows!
All & all, the trip was a great "Speedy confidence builder" for me.

Vince..... WTF do you think? (Har De Har Har). Just before the photo-opp, I was telling the girls of a very knowledgable(?) Toyota car salesman that tried his best to enlighten me about how I should really start "clubing" because my car is a "chick magnet".
Oh sure, that's all this ol' geezer needs.... My wife & teen-age boys would certainly understand! (besides, I been there, done that on a Harley).
Cheers!
