True, to the extent the builder understands or even knows what is safe? Of course, from what I have been told by several VW based manufacturers you can't really tell the difference by looking at a VW trailing arm if it is true or not. Unless it is obviously bent, you don't know until it is on the car, but then hopefully you would remove it if it is not true.
Alan, I didn't ask or pose the question, and I hope you understand that I could care less. I only attempted to answer a question directly posed about my car in the most expeditious manner. I could care less about the comparison, like Stan said in another thread, the SAW platform is so different they probably shouldn't be compared.
