Good day all. Just wanted to post a few pics of my speedster project .... tell me what you think.

Great start, nice color, tell us more about it.
Are you building it from scratch or acquired it partially done?
How long have you had it?
Who is the original manufacturer?
Engine?
Tranny?
Looks like CMC/FF wide body (California - C)
Awsume wheels that fill out the opening quite well! What size are they?
The wheels fit the car better than any CMC widebody I've ever seen. The color is really cool (for a widebody). I'm a fan of anybody who does this themselves.
That paint is friggin’ GORGEOUS!
I’m gonna have to go to the Islands and see it first hand!
Looks like you sleeved the center of the Miata show bar? The larger diameter heels do fill out the wheel well nicely but the profile low side wall tires will have rough ride.... I like it ~
PENNY? IS tp Nuckles still lurking about.
No, he sold it some time ago - It is one that I really liked, and saved photos of it. I used to laugh that every time I saved a picture of it - it had different wheels. He was the Amelia Marcos of Speedster wheels.

The color is a bronze.
I bought it from a guy in Michigan crudely completed and shipped it to the USVI. I've had had for a little over two years now. I think it's a CMC.
What did I do to it -- It started life as a CMC wide body but I wanted it wider in the rear but sexy not boxy. So I widened it 2.5" on each side.
I added a external oil cooler behind the rwar seat area up between that empty space before the motor.
I massaged the body to get is at smooth as possible then applied the paint.
The wheels are custom made 18 X 12" in the rear and 18 X 9 up front.
the motor is a 1600cc ... plans to swap out with a turbo motor.
I'm working on the upholstery right now. Trying to figure out what color and design I want.
It's looking great! I love the custom touches.
Very nice finish.
@bkellyy- Wow- very sharp! And what Uncle Stan said- you get points for doing it yourself. The body mods are subtle. Did you paint it yourself as well? I've painted a few cars over the years and know how much work it is- primer sanding sanding sanding, primer sanding sanding sanding, a little filler here and there more primer sanding sanding sanding, a little more filler more primer (again!) sanding sanding sanding- so much primer ended up on the floor and it could seem never ending, but the results were always spectacular!
@WOLFGANG- yeah, Terry had 3? 4? sets of shoes for Penny and he'd change them just to change them. It was always interesting to see what his Speedster would be wearing in the latest pics.
Love it. I think a dark green interior would look really cool.
