Reading about Johns Subster reminds me of an American Chopper show.....only days left and the team must complete the project for the Carlisle show!!!!

It would be fun to have a show like "Rides" do a special on building the speedster..........or maybe a series like American Hotrod, but with one of the major speedster manufacturers. Man I would hate to have a camera walking around catching me making every stupid mistake along the way. But it could be a really neat show and I love shows that show people building things and I love the 356 so now if I could just get a show building a 356 I would be in heaven.

It seems John Leader would know some people who might be interested in such a show? What do you say John L. could you make a plea for me and my dream show?

John,

Have you decided your route yet? Maybe someone could do what Chris Nichols did for Knotts and post your progress as you drive north. Actually there are several people who should post their progress - Gordon's and Jerome's caravans, the Canadian guys, Russ Bees from Iowa, etc, etc. I'm really impressed with the distance many people are traveling to the Meet...it should be worth the drive.

BTW, Chip Foose has a new TV show called "Overhaulin". The story line is they steal someone's car and do a fabulous rebuild/customize in a few days and then surprise the victim at the end of the show. Usuallly a family member or friend is in on the "steal" but I pity the heartache the poor guy probably goes through. Hopefully no one pulls that on you. Then again, your car would have been finished in just a few days :>)

Hi Bruce. There's no mystery to my route. I'm going east on I-40 to connect with I-81, and then follow this all the way to Carlisle. Sweet bride and I are traveling with another couple (neighbors) who will be hauling a car carrier; Good neighbor will be shopping for his next potential find. We will be leaving on Thursday, May 20th, and traveling most of the way on this day. I am going to suggest that we stop overnight in Martinsburg, WV. The next morning, we will have a fairly short drive to Carlisle. If this fits with anyone else's plans, come on down!

Oh no, not this Carlisle crap! I was so pissed I couldn't go to the west coast show!!! I'm still pissed (how can you tell?) I'm also VERY jealous and if I wasn't afraid of getting my ass fired I'd drive to Carlisle.
Maybe if I got fired I could come and live with Robert.
