I went to the local VW aircooled shop and was telling him about my single relief case. He told me to get him any numbers from it I could.
I found it to be Brazilian.
Numbers look like this:
2BR VW Brazil
19 OOOO 000.101.1022
AS 21
The 4 O's after the 19 have a line thru the middle of them. Sorta looks like AUDI's symbol with the line thru the middle.
Any ideas?
I must have some kinda antique collectors item! My Luck

Does the engine case have numbers below the generator/alternator pedestal? The first 2 digits should be designated with letters, This information should be able to tell your mechanic what year your engine case is. But for the most part, single-relief cases were used by VW till 1970 (1500cc) In 1971, with the introduction of the 1600cc, came the dual relief cases and the dog house shroud.
