A few new shots of the S6- the dash. Dual mode speedometer (mph and kph - nice for trips to the U.S.), triple warning lights, starter button, powder coated dash knobs. Knobs on the left are for headlights and wipers; two in the centre each side of the OEL temperature gauge for four way flashers and driving lights; starter button on right above where the ignition key will be. Coming along nicely...waiting for the arrival of a few parts from Patrick Motorsports and engine installation should begin.

Marty, yes, the rear valance is part of the build.  I think it would be a great addition to your mean machine.

Stan, I guess you can call my car Matt the second, or Matt the sequel.

I don't think with the 3.6 it is possible to do a centre exhaust, so we will see on that score. We may be using an M&K two in, one out exhaust, which is what Mike Wiggins now has on his car.

I have wanted Matt's car ever since I first saw some shots of it. I'm not going with all the bling that Matt had (he spent a fortune on the car), but I think I have captured the essence of it.

It will be good enough for me

Beautiful, congrats!

Well, Bill, send four or five thousand dollars my way, and I'll order some custom wheels.

Those wheels are Porsche D90 wheels, and I chose them because Henry had a set, the offset and width (6" front, 8" rear) are correct, and the price was right.  They'll be on the car until I decide to go for something else.

I'll give you my Paypal information.

Bob, that valence does finish off the bottom of the car quite nicely, I might have added it to mine but I never realized it was part of the options one could select.    Update: I looked and since my exhaust is all contained and going through the bumperettes it would not even be seen on my car but looks good on yours.

Marty, I am sure you can get the hole patched fairly easily, have you thought of getting a picture of the rear end at different angles to see how much of the lip you can see under your bumper, it might give you more insight into how the valence would look on your car.  Since you have a single tip exhaust it could look real nice.

But does Matts IM have a 'wider rear' than stock to accommodate wider tires without resorting to wide bodied flares?

Oh, you have no idea of the coolness of what he does to make that work. Check out Bob's early shots for the "pie cuts". It's astounding.

Yes, it's a wider rear.

Henry calls it the J.Lo look...

I hope this post works this time - been having real difficulty lately getting the Submit Reply button to do just that.

Anyway, the vents in the bumper should serve two purposes:  1. to direct more air to the oil coolers mounted right in front to the two front wheels; and, 2.  to direct more air to the brakes when I am driving like a mad man.

If those two ideas don't work, at least they look cool and look different.

The interior door handles and other knobs are all powder coated, same as all exterior trim.
