If your at the engine than you should be getting close...errr Are you doing anything custom? ... special on your build?

That would be everything.
A few new shots of the S6- the dash. Dual mode speedometer (mph and kph - nice for trips to the U.S.), triple warning lights, starter button, powder coated dash knobs. Knobs on the left are for headlights and wipers; two in the centre each side of the OEL temperature gauge for four way flashers and driving lights; starter button on right above where the ignition key will be. Coming along nicely...waiting for the arrival of a few parts from Patrick Motorsports and engine installation should begin.
Wow Bob, this beauty is really taking shape. I can imagine how excited you must be as the completion gets closer.
Wow!
Super-nice dash there, Bob. Really looks like Rich's original '55.
Very nicely done!

SUPER !
Yes, John, there's a little excitement these days every time some new photos pop up in my email inbox.
Gordon - thanks to you, that dash is fairly accurate. I sent your photo to Henry for the little details, and it turned out nicely.
Alan - I feel the same. Henry's doing a great job on this build.
How things have changed. When I had my IM rewired in 2009 I talked to Henry about getting a starter button put in. His response was, "Why would you want that!"
I wish I'd stuck to my guns and had one put in.
Couple things that I don't like. The wheels and the fact that it's not mine!
Beautiful, congrats!
For mine, no. For yours, yes.
Marty, yes, the rear valance is part of the build. I think it would be a great addition to your mean machine.
Stan, I guess you can call my car Matt the second, or Matt the sequel.
I don't think with the 3.6 it is possible to do a centre exhaust, so we will see on that score. We may be using an M&K two in, one out exhaust, which is what Mike Wiggins now has on his car.

I have wanted Matt's car ever since I first saw some shots of it. I'm not going with all the bling that Matt had (he spent a fortune on the car), but I think I have captured the essence of it.
It will be good enough for me

Well, Bill, send four or five thousand dollars my way, and I'll order some custom wheels.
Those wheels are Porsche D90 wheels, and I chose them because Henry had a set, the offset and width (6" front, 8" rear) are correct, and the price was right. They'll be on the car until I decide to go for something else.
I'll give you my Paypal information.
Stan, "weak in the knees" is an understatement!!
See what I mean about the seductive attraction of 'Black'?
Matt's is the iconic example.
Carl
Matt's car - and mine - is Jaguar British Racing Green. It does look dark, but not as dark as black.

Well, Ron. Mum says that Henry just likes me more than he likes you.
I have a feeling Henry likes Mum more than he likes both of us.
Bob, that valence does finish off the bottom of the car quite nicely, I might have added it to mine but I never realized it was part of the options one could select. Update: I looked and since my exhaust is all contained and going through the bumperettes it would not even be seen on my car but looks good on yours.

Bob that car your duplicating was awesome I was at Henry's shop when Matt's car was finished and I remember sitting in it, the bling on that car was outstanding. if you have more clean lines on the back end, then the valance would work especially well with a single exhaust tip.
Marty, I am sure you can get the hole patched fairly easily, have you thought of getting a picture of the rear end at different angles to see how much of the lip you can see under your bumper, it might give you more insight into how the valence would look on your car. Since you have a single tip exhaust it could look real nice.
Yeah, I think it will look decent. I like the look from the back (a lot) but from the side it looks a little like a poopoo diaper that needs to be changed.
I like nicely molded in parts in the bumpers so with the valence, it will look much more sculpted IN and will merge in the exhaust pipe rather than having it protrude out of the bottom. Mine are via the bumperette so they achieve something similar but not using the body... with yours I think it would look awesome.
Marty:
First, you say your exhaust looks 'butch'; then you say the valance looks like a 'poopoo' diaper.
Where do you come up with all these highly descriptive terms? At a daycare run by muscular women?
I'm trying to visualize what a 'butch' exhaust looks like......
I know that if the driver was 'butch' looking she'd have short hair and wear sensible shoes.
Check me if I'm having optical illusions...
But does Matts IM have a 'wider rear' than stock to accommodate wider tires without resorting to wide bodied flares?

Oh, you have no idea of the coolness of what he does to make that work. Check out Bob's early shots for the "pie cuts". It's astounding.

Yes, it's a wider rear.
Henry calls it the J.Lo look...
aah HAW!...So I'm not having 'optical illusions!
Bob, where can I find your early photos clearly showing those pie cuts? How far forward (toward the door) does this modification (widening) surgery begin?

Carl:
These shots are on Henry's public website. Have fun scrolling. There are two pages of photos.
Nice touch with the interior door handles painted.
What are the bumper grilles for, brake cooling?
I'm guessing they're cooling air inlets for additional heat exchangers/rads, which may go in/near the front wheel wells. Rear mounted rads need a little help, especially with a turbo.
I hope this post works this time - been having real difficulty lately getting the Submit Reply button to do just that.
Anyway, the vents in the bumper should serve two purposes: 1. to direct more air to the oil coolers mounted right in front to the two front wheels; and, 2. to direct more air to the brakes when I am driving like a mad man.
If those two ideas don't work, at least they look cool and look different.
The interior door handles and other knobs are all powder coated, same as all exterior trim.
I know your certifiable Bob
Henry says engine and trans assembly will begin next week, with a completion date of mid to end of August.
That thing is a bloody monster! I'll need a really good pair of driving gloves...

WOW!!!
Vario-ram?
(really, really cool, btw)
