Nice 2L 914 Fuchs alloys! I bought the billet aluminum center caps from ISP/Carson CA for around $90 and with just a little grinding they clear the rear 36mm nut and the front grease caps.
yeah they are nice need some polishing,i dont have center caps, but am gonna use the enkei fopr now anyways, gonna hold on to them for now to see if i can use them on something else.
Nice. I'm jealous that you found such a great example.
I've been looking since December. The search goes on...
Ted
I'd like to learn about the lug / stud conversion. Did you machine the back side of the drum like 'they' suggest?
Black studs? Silver lugs?
T
I ground the heads off two wheel lug bolts and use them as temporary studs to easily hang the aligned wheel on...
Saves a lot of muttered curse words!!!
Still looking forward to seeing your photos.
T
oooah....I like that!
I'll bet Bob Garret does too.
Great example of the neat things that can be done with these plastic replicas!
That sweet squatting silver thing with metallic paint and those wheels would never pass muster in a crowd of "real" 356's. WGAS?!
(that's a new acronym I just coined!!...it's not copyrighted so everyone's free to use it)
WGAS?
Not understanding the acronym.

When you strip away the chrome bits and the handles, etc. you really see the great lines of the 356 body style, don't you?
Once you get it down to that foundation you can leave it alone or put back just the bits you want. Most cars rely on the crap added on to make the basic car look good. The 356 is great to begin with. IMHO.

I'm feeling a little stupid here; are you going to tell us, Carl?
SMG (sorry, don't know your first name)- looking good! Al
Who Gives A Smurf?!
or maybe
Who Grooms A Shiksa?!
Ted- I like Who Gives A Smurf; it was close to what I was thinking...
Al was on the right track!
The S represented the product of an eliminating body function.
But, I'm liking Ted's interpretation...Smurf
It has the same flippant distainful emphasis without being an objectionable vulgarity...plus it won't be censored with asterisk in my Dialogs!
You mean like:
Hey Carl, frack you!
LOL!
Ahh, it's like IDGAF or FTS.
Got it,
Ted

Thanks Sylvio; I find it's easier if people are on a first name basis (easier to remember than screen names). WGAS- Who Gives A Sh1t (or Smurf, as Ted said).

In this case, it's even more confusing because there is a person here who's screen name is 'Ted" and also myself... who's real name is Ted, but my screen name is TRP.
Dizzying, isn't it?
Ted
But Ted; I know who you are... And I didn't say it was foolproof.
LOL!
There's always a fly in the ointment.
