Nice ride Warren, I know those rims are big and the tires are thin, but you could probably get by on pavement; my cars wouldn't know what to do with rubber carpeting.

the new ones are nice, i had a carrera 4 for awhile....if your check engine light goes on it may be u didnt tighten ur gas cap correctly.

997 -- Quiet, comfy, safe, faster than I'll ever be, climate controlled, 8 channel stereo, quick on the turn, stop on a dime, etc. etc. all very nice, but it ain't no Speedster. I'm just sayin' . . .

Warren, your car is absolutely beautiful. I just bought my first 997 on Christmas. It's quite an upgrade from my Boxster. I don't have the S model, but the base Carerra is fast enough for me. The Sport Chrono Plus option is awesome. I just attended my first track event this past weekend at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. Great fun and a great car. Enjoy!

I'm really not likin' the way this thread is going -- sounds like the local PCA having a gab fest about their way cool rides. Like I said: it ain't a Speedster. And the answer to your question is: yes, if I had the money I would have one of these cars too. 'nuf said.

Kelly - I know it ain't no Speedster. Believe it or not, I was not drunk when I sold my second one for a different ride. Not necessarily better, just different. Oh, and by the way, WTF is PCA, Pinheads in California? Kelly, I have never had more fun in both of my Speedsters and I would have never met the good friends I now have having not gotten into this madness. Will I miss the open air, thumbs-up stuff? Yes, I will but my wife and I, at my age, needed more creature comforts. I can always do another one if I choose. Oh, and since I started this thread, I have no problem the way it has gone.
