I picked up my Vintage super wide body last December and still have that SEG on my face everytime I get in it. Be prepared, you can't go anywhere without drawing a lot of attention, hearing a lot of comments, seeing a lot of smiles and answering a lot of questions. Just tonight, I was eating outside at Panda Express and a guy in a BMW pulled in next to my car and asked if it was mine. I answered yes and he said "That's the most beautiful car I have ever seen in my life. Thanks, you made my day." I just smiled and said thank you. Get used to it, because you will hear comments like that virtually every time you take your beautiful new car out for a spin.

Here are the top ten questions you will hear David Letterman style:

#10 Is that your car?
#9 Is it fun to drive? (some people just don't have a clue)
#8 Where did you get the wheels?
#7 What engine do you have in it?
#6 Is that a kit car?
#5 Did you do the work yourself?
#4 How much did that cost you? (again, some people just don't have a clue)
#3 Is that new?
#2 What is that?
And the #1 question is: "Dude! What year is that?"

More photos have been added. They are posted under Joel3217 in the "Photo" forum...enjoy. This is a California legal car, just check out the front license plate (gotta have that in Cali). We just built a bracket and bolted it to the nerf bar support. To me, it looks clean and neat. Enjoy.

I'm not sure about the Harley rider, but the one about the BMW driver and the porcupine (or pineapple) has do to with the sharp things that can "prick" you being on the inside rather than the outside if you get my drift. Usually, I've heard that one applied to Porsche drivers and actually, I've had many compliments from BMW drivers.
Anyway, back to Joel's new car. Nice pics Joel. I know that in Calif. a front plate is required, but I haven't been stopped for not having mine yet. I know some cities are more strict about it than others.

My favorite comment ever:

I'm pumping gas when a brand new BMW 7-Series with blacked out windows pulls up. The front window rolls down to reveal the largest, toughest looking African American gentleman I've ever seen. He looks the Speedster up and down and in a basey voice that Isaac Hayes would envy he glares right at me and says "That car is one. bad. motherf#cker." He rolled up the window and took off. Made my day.
