Just cruising Hemmings classifieds and I came across my Beck for sale in Las Vegas.  The car probably has more miles on transport trailer than the road.  I bought in SC, shipped it to NY, sold it a guy in Tenn. & I think he then sold it someone else. Now it's in Vegas.  Really nice car with a Raby Type 1 1915 engine in it.  Seats need some TLC.  Repro Fuchs, front rotors were drilled out for the 5-bolt.  Rear drums are regular 5-bolt.

Yeah, this is one I should have kept but I have a tendency to only keep my cars for a few years & then sell them. I have a long list of cars I want to own & drive during my lifetime & I have limited space.  Fortunately, my wife is ok with my sickness as long as she can still park her car in the garage.  Right now I'm stilling working on my vintage spyder with a Raby 2316.  should be ready by spring. In the meantime I have 914-6 with a 3.2 engine & a VW Thing (possibly the coolest car ever made!)

Gulley Gulley, great cars you have. My old time friend had a 914-6 however in a quick downshift from 5th to 2nd, he gernaded the engine. I am surprised you have a VW Thing, they don't last long here in upstate NY. It has to be orange, right?  BTW, I am just west of you near Rochesterand I did Bag the Beck that I had mentioned before. Now onto DMV.

Sunflower yellow & absolutely no rust!  Sounds impossible, but true.  Just finishing an engine swap. Putting in an 1800 stroker with dual kadrons.  Maybe the fat pig can now get up to highway speeds. Then back to the spyder build. Dmv for the Beck shouldn't be hard. Let me know if you have any questions on getting it thru.  They're great cars.  I'm sure I'll have another one in the near future.

I'll try to get down your way next summer. One of my kids has been by your exit. Went from Ottawa, Canada down to Buffalo for a Hockey game and an overnighter.

Imbibed way too much and the next day the DD headed East in not so good a mood considering the attitude of the other two. Should have turned North at I 81 but somehow missed it and pressed on. He eventually saw a sign ...Welcome to New England.. Kids, eh ?

I've been to Lake George too. Last of the Mohicans...right ? Lot's of nice places in NY... Rhienbeck ( sp ? ) has neat stuff.

No fond memories of Troy, NY though. Youtube Mike Tyson Conroy Nelson. ~ Nov 25, 1985 I brought this tall Jamaican heavyweight to get in the ring with Tyson. Not a wise move. That's about all he did. We brought up Sam Solomon ( RIP) from Philly to do the corner work. He had previous experience with Mathew Saad Muhammed, Leon Spinks and many other notables. Tyson was only 18 and scary looking before the fight.

Only wound up as a two rounder. $3,500, expenses and a return ticket for Sam is what we got. I was the younger, dark haired lad outside the corner squirting water into Tyson's mouth right after the stoppage.

Tyson said to me with a lispth..."Thorry about your Boyth's nose". I said ..."you broke it ?" He said "yeah...I could feel it break when I hit it". Phuck !
