I am not lying when I say that since I sold my speedster 4-5 years ago I have always checked the web in case I run into it. It was the BEST toy I have ever had. Today, I found it on e-bay. I wish I was in the position to buy it back. My car was featured on the 2007 calendar here on SOC. I hope somebody from here can buy it so I can keep track of it. I do not have any affiliation with the current owner.

Hey, Lambros! Great to hear from you again!
Lambros!... Come to Carlisle and get the itch to own again :~)

...and check this, I actually decided to own a speedster for Carlisle, tagged and titled too!

And that it is that particular one does not surprise me one bit.
I was in NY last month and drove my new car back to KC. Of course, when I drove by Carlisle I remembered the time of my first and only visit there back in 08. What a great weekend that was, great cars and people. I got to drive Lane's beautiful speedster and Cory's one and only Hoopty. I still remember the restaurant we went to that was owned by a Greek guy.
You do not even know how much I have missed my Speedster. I wish I had the extra cash to buy it back and of course drive it to Carlisle next year.
Cory, I know you are into 928's, my new car is a 1990 928 S converted to Chevy 350 .

You don't have to own a Speedster to join us. You just have to be a little crazy.
So how much did you sale the car for four years ago.

That's a sensible conversion, Lambros. Just don't cut that beautiful hood.
Hi Dax
I sold it for 14,5K. to a guy in Seattle. A year later the car was sold to its current owner . I see that the carpet was replaced and from what I read in the ad, they added a cooler and radio. Other than that, I did every thing else to it from converting to wide five, putting disc brakes (front),lowering, new engine 1915cc, steering wheel, hub covers, stickers and much more.
Cory, I will contact you via FB.

good to see you around here again.
your ride was one of my inspirational 356's - especially when it came to the stance you ran. i love how you built that car.
but - i do hafta have to ask - how can that car weigh 2400!

Thank you for your kind words.
Your car has become one of my favorites, I love the color combination you got. My next speedster will be like yours.
As far as the weight of the car, I have no idea how he got that number.

Lambros, funny you should remember the dinner that night. I remember it like yesterday. Man, those Greek women were tickled pink to come over and talk about the old country in the mother tongue. I think our table got top service too! Good hearing from you again!

There's an error in your caption, Cory. It says "...the recently-completed Projekt Hoopty". Now we all know that the Hoopty will NEVER really be finished, don't we?
Bill, good memory. I also remember the owner giving me the grand tour of the restaurant. Did you guys go back to it?
Cory, too bad there is no picture of me driving your car. I guess I will wait until next time.

Boy, I always liked the great stance that car had...perfect! Great pics.
That restaurant unfortunately closed a few months after our dinner. Not sure what happened there. Someone bought it with the hopes of re-opening it, but hasn't happened yet.
Ya remember this car?

How can I forget it? Steve let me drive it most of the trip. On the way back I drove it 900 miles out of a 1000. When I dropped Steve home in Des Moines IA, I drove my car to KC right a way. I probably drove 1100 miles none stop that day. It was a great fun!!
A few years later I got an e-mail from Steve saying his car was involved in an accident and was totaled. Sad story.
