Hey everyone. I'm finally feeling like I'm making some progress on my speedster build. I have been burning the midnight oil lately, only working on it after the family is asleep. I am only a few hours away from a rolling chassis! and then I'm onto the motor build.
Being a first-time type 1 build for myself, I'm hoping it's going to be a successful one.
I have read a bunch, asked questions, and think that I should have a good recipe balance for fun, reliability, and power. Here's my specs: 9.5 -1 compression
*Aluminum Super case, tapped for full flow, clearanced for 2332.
*Chromoly Studs
*Forged graphite Mahle 94mm Pistons/Barrels
*Engle FK8 cam with Engle performance lifters
*Scat Pro Comp 1.4 Forged Rockers
*GTV-2 CNC Ported heads, with high rev dble springs, and stainless valves 42x37.5
*Forged Chevy 5.5 H beam connecting rods
*Manton Chromoly pushrods
*Dual Weber IDF 48's with Redline manifolds
*CB MAXI 30 Full flow oil pump
*CB MagnaSpark II ignition system
*CB Billet pulleys
*Stage 2 Kenedy clutch, with lightened flywheel
*Rancho Transaxle Prostreet w/3.88 gear
*WOSP Starter
*Remote oil cooler with fan
*A-1 Exhaust * 1 5/8 sidewinder with straight thru mufflers and shotgun tips.
It amazes me how many parts go into these small little motors!! I cant wait!!
