I'm not so sure it's a VS, carl.  First the dash is not the standard VS one as this one has the extra pad going accross the mid part of the dash. And the cash covering doesn't stop before the edges at the door like a VS. I'd love to change mine to that original style if such were available).  And this car sits and looks different than the Speedsters I'm used to seeing. A flatter overall look of the front rather than the more "bubble" look of most Speedsters.  I see what you mean about the trim on the right side at the front--it does seem to dip down for the frontmost part.  That piece on my VS is straight.

Also the extra items below the instruments are different from a VS.  And didn't the script say that it was on a tube frame?

I don't think it's a VS. But I don't know what it is.  I sure like it!

You may be right Jack...

I was just noticing the slight fender bulge typical of VS's which is only noticed when viewing at an angle from the front, or sighting straight along the side from the rear...and not apparent ay all without the bright horizonal trim strip, or viewing the trim at 90 degrees.

It does photograph as low squatting (what Gordon calls a stalking stance) but I think that's because it is squatting and the photo was taken at about bumper height giving it a 'flatter' look.

Precisely what was the ambient temperature of the barn during the build? Or perhaps you are using the term "really cool" in a context of visually appealing... Ambiguity in car advertisement seems to run as rampant on this board as it does elsewhere in politics.

... I'm only saying this because we all know how important temperature is during a build and or storage. These cars are highly intolerant of even 1 or 2 degree fluctuations in ambient temperature as this can completely ruin a car in a matter of minutes. This is why the serious collectors keep their cars in bubble wrap and finely tuned temperature controlled environments...

I'm just being a goofball. Nobody listens to me anyway. I have tried repeatedly to stress the importance of 1 to 2 degree ambient air temperature fluctuations in the storage of these cars. Someday every one of you will say, "Rusty, holy cow you were right! We should have listened and stored our cars in bubble wrap and kept them in a temperature controlled environment".
