Before any speculation....no divorce or bankruptcy....just love designing and building things. This car is absolutely mint and those who have seen it will attest to the detail and fit/finish..this is no ordinary Speedster replica!!!

Check out the ebay listing and feel free to contact me if interested. I am slightly negotiable for SOC members & friends.

For the curious...I will build another one as soon as this sells (and YES, I will use Vintage again!!)

Thanks-

Jimbo,
I've had the thought kickin around in my head for a while - just showing up at Morro with a t-shirt that says "Hi I'm Mickey from the East Coast".
I'd really like to make a trip out there and meet you guys and also catch up with some old friends that are out there.
A Modena Spyder may be a little more incentive. If Billy promises me I can't take it for a drive I'll look into plane tickets. ;)
BILLY'S THOUGHTS:

Mark...sold the car full price on Ebay today...guy came from Anaheim with cash..he will hit "buy it now" when he gets home (the 5 freeway should take him about 3 days to get home today!!)......

Warren, love the car..it is perfect for me...Already working on another color scheme, design.

Jim, you are the anchor of this site...thanks for reading, recalling and reminding the masses...you rock!

I fully intend to tap the great wealth of knowledge and opinion on this site to help with the next Speedy. I will buy it in April for a May-June completion.

Thinking the VS mild-wide body (not full flare) , IRS, custom hardtop, 2 heaters (one for the hands on the dash), big stereo, turbo CB motor, Rancho trans (5 speed), spindle alloy wheels (not sure what they call them but I saw the perfect set on another speedster...look like AR Salt Flats)...hood straps, vented decklid, dark Cocoa interior with white piping, Chocolate loop carpet, Chocolate top, light metallic bronze exterior. Slammed to the ground with coil overs, gas shocks, etc.

Just dreamin' again!

PS-Our lil' secret.....I DID NOT LOSE MONEY ON HER....if the design is right, there is always some baller who will step up. The art of Ebay ad writing helps...modestly speaking, I have sold ever single hot rod, car, etc. on Ebay at or near the "buy it now".....need to make sure the verbiage hits the mark with the exact demographic you are searching for...shotgun marketing does not work well on Ebay...just need ONE buyer, right! Look how long the Automotive Legend widebodies and the Arizona VS cars have been on Ebay...just sayin'!
Rollo, Thanks again for taking such good care of me. It's good to see a guy who is so stoked on air cooled engines and takes pride in what he builds. I like your idea of a non flaired, tubbed, wide 5,injected, turboed ,2 liter. Billy, congrats on the sale. Let me know when you start your next build and stay in touch.
Later, Mark
