I'm looking for pictures of Speedster (not Spyder) dashboards without a dashpad. I know I've seen a number of them posted here and there over the years, but if you have shots you'd like to put all in one place (this thread) - I'd really appreciate it.

That's a lot of nakidity Alan. At least the Google censors didn't pick up on it.
I'm sure Vince would have posted some different pics.

Those are nice, with Great Eyebrows.
Stan: I guess some of us are curious about this 'naked dashboard' interest you seem to have.
This isn't some sort of newly developed fetish we should be worried about, is it?
Just gauging interest in the new Carlisle event Saturday night: The 50-Yard Naked Dash.

Rod Emory's dash brows are wood and available in a couple of different sizes.
Thanks guys. Any more? Keep 'em coming if you've got 'em.

Pearl, after paint, before the interior and dash pad (which came 6 years later).
And then about 6 years later when the dash pad was finally installed. The pad made quite a difference.

Bob, you should always be worried about me.

It's Stan, Bob; the wheels are churning about Something. The question, of course, is what's the boy got on his mind now?

Emory is such a magician. If I only had a 1/2 million to blow on a toy. My next car is partially for the wife. She was dissappointed when I traded the IM Conv D in for the Spyder. So my next Conv D will be cumfy and cozy inside with lots of leather and padding with cubby holes and map pockets. But if I was doing a raw beastly naked outlaw speedeter I'd be showing Carey this photo and discussing possibilities. Beautiful.

A random thought, here.
Just had a look at the eyebrows on Alan's Stoddard link.
If one were thinking about deleting the leather/vinyl on the dash and one already had a wood-rimmed steering wheel, I wonder what it might look like if the wooden eyebrow were also left uncovered and stained and finished to match the wheel.
SOMETIME LATER:
Well, OK, it might look something like this:

On Alan's link, I was surprised to see that there are 3 different Speedster eyebrows.

Me too.
Never thought about not putting on the dash vinyl. Looks racy and sleek without.

Raised eyebrows?
There's a narrower one for '55 cars and a wider one for '56-'58. The earlier cars had just two large gauges and the later ones, three - no?

Very interesting. I didn’t know that. Thanks.
Eyebrow Comparo - '55 to '58 The style changed (gradually) during the 1956 build year.
First, the 1955 Speedster:
And now, the '58 Speedster - And no, I did not steal this photo

I like the later version rather than the early one that is flatter on top.
