Hey Everyone,
Whew!! its been a busy summer. How is everyone?
Just made all my reservations to make the trip to Colorado, we are flying in on Wednesday the 17 and will go home on Sunday the 21st, YIPPEE! My parents won't be joining us, they have to stay home and take care of our daughter!! They have been gone alot this summer so they don't mind.
Anyway, looking forward to it. :-)

Dusty and the Lovely Miss Sharon:
Booked the rooms for Carol and I (18th through the 20th). Also have my daughter (Carolyn) and husband (Paul) coming up from Colorado Springs early on the 20th and staying over that evening as well...so could you add two more attendees for the festivities on Saturday?
I told the "kids" that their Accord or Prius would be fine to drive and Carol was quick to point out that the "boys" may be driving the speedster in the event of inclement weather - anything other than 75-80 degrees and sunny. (At this writing she has refused to do the umbrella trick!)
I think I mentioned in an earlier post regarding the Gathering that Saturday the 20th is Carol's birthday, so anything I can do to possibly order a cake ahead of time for everyone's dessert at the evening meal might get me a few points - and the Lord knows I need points!
Best regards,
Cal

Cal,
Tell the "kids" that we are going to the car collection in Longmont at 9:30. Have them call me a couple of days earlier and I will give them directions from their point.
About the cake ... call me two days early and I will help you get one made up and ready. My phone is 970-669-1588
See you soon,
Dusty

I sure wish I could join you guys for this. It sounds like it's gonna be a lot of fun. Maybe next year.
Lane - if there is a Colorado meet next year and you drag your butt out to the Rockies, we can share drive-time in my Speedy if you're there without a car!!
SHWEEET!! I was hoping to make it this year, but we have some other travel plans crammed into the same period, and, in the interest of domestic tranquility, I have to pass on the Colorado gathering.
...domestic tranquility?
Doesn't that fall under the same oxymoron category as 'military intelligence' or 'jumbo shrimp' or the ever popular 'French deodorant'?

How about "Phat-tub modesty"?
Hey, don't be using my tubby's name in vein, or is it vain, or is it vane....oh, whatever....

Great minds think alike!
As I had discussed with my son during one of 'those' father-son talks...'Piece' is the most POWERFUL motivation known to man. Lives are lost over it, wars are fought over it and empires are squandered over it. Think wisely, my son, when comtemplating 'Piece'!!
