Naval Aviation Celebrates 100 years

Feb 12, 2011 San Diego will be the first city to comemorate 100 years of Naval Aviation. North Island NAS will have a big celebration wit an Open House, airshow and topless dancing. Check this for details. www.mwrtoday.com/cona. Anybody in?

the only airdales i met were real sailors on a ship, an aircraft carrier...sorry mike..

airdales are right up there with jarheads, only a bit higher since technically they are navy. sorry ernie. :}

My buddie will be flying in...He has a WW2 navy Stearman biplane yellow with a blue tail. Are you going Will? Maybe I'll see if I can hitch a ride with him...

you can tell a real airdale because they were the only enlisted men with laundered and pressed clothes and shiny shoes...
there was an old Bos'n on our ship, had to be 90 or such, he always said he had wrung more salt water out of his socks than the airdales(im stretching the truth in this story a wee bit)have flown over.

I was an Army Aviator for 32 years, 7months and 15 days, then worked for the FAA for eleven years as an operations Inspector,still working part time for an aviation comany. Still flying airplanes, helicopters and seaplanes recently experienced a health setback but still able to fly as second in command only for the next two years then re-apply for my medical.

early riser, get up at 4 as my girlfriend gets up and has her routine before heading to work early. by 4:30 she is on her walker for an hour which is at the bottom of the bed and NOONE can sleep thru that so i just get up. i go to bed early though.
