This was the best show yet. Way better than Knotts! We outnumbered the Cobras for sure.
I talked to one of the event organizers and he couldn't understand how there were suddendly so many Speedsters.
I have some pics that I am going to post, but I have to edit some of them for content. Chingalingas and all.

Ho Hum just another warm and sunny day on San Francisco Bay. Kidding aside what a great turnout. Thirteen cars in all when I left with Ten entered into competition. Great bunch of folks. Here are a couple of pics with more under my name.

Jeez, I find it ironic that there aren't more Speedster "C"'s (California) in California? Are there any flared cars out there?

I NEED PICS AND RESULTS!
Hey you guys that entered, who won?"
The anthracite grey car belongs to Eric Supnet and has a really nice Type IV powerplant. I have a few more pics I will post tomorrow.

The Official NCKCC San Leandro Show Photo Caption Contest!
I haven't got all the details worked out, yet. Maybe between Rick Davis, John Leader, Theron and myself, we can create a print of the winning entry.
Paul, interested in being a judge?

Ahhh Mike, a man of your word.

Jeez!

Jeez!
Dale squared!
Dale Feiber got a first in 'C' class
Dale B. got a first in 'B' class
Dale B. also got a nod (and that was all) from KitCar magazine, no 'hardware' as he put it.
Rumor has it though, a picture spread of Dale and his speedster will be in a forthcoming issue. I understand there will be hay bales and nudity in the photo shots...I can only hope that Dale played harder to get with this photographer than Theron did in SoCal!
We were all a little quizzical how there came to be two classes for the speedsters, but who cares? We had a great turn-out and saw some well-appointed cars.
Mike McSween brought class to our herd with his beautiful blue bomb, satelite sound system and great cigarzzz! This car, by the way, has all the featurtes that other fellow asked about...locking doors, I think roll up windows, and it has A/C... maybe not the windows, hmmm?
John Steele's products were well represented and there was one of his cars, a real pretty silver one, that had had an off road excursion and I don't think there was a single trace element of the accident! Great Job.
Patrick's car bid farewell to us all as he delivered it to its new owner after the show closed down Saturday...someone will be a very happy cruiser, beautiful car!
Kurt Larson has been in touch with his inner-self and a sanding block! he has begun the prep-process for new paint. A James Dean-sort of legend will die, but I'm certain this long-time speedster owner has something equally cool on the drawing boards!
Ralphie (Dick & his wife) was (were) resplendid in bright red as was Troy's machine... and those gold wheels Troy, hot-ch-ch-cha-cha!
For those in a state of confusion about color choices one of John Steele's products was stunning in an anthracite grey (but not too sparkly, glittery, bowling ball Detroit-ish) with fawn/camel interior and black piping. I apologize to the owner(s) as his name is escaping me,
aaarrrRRGGHHHH! age sucks.
Ray's little silver number with blue pinstriping and way,way outlaw bumpers was sitting pretty. Very clean and Ray looked very dapper with his 'Schwepps' Commander-style silver goateeee!
A silver Intermeccanica showed up Sunday, I didn't see the interior as I was soooo dumbstruck by the way cool 3.0 911 engine riding in the rear! Blue canvas is a nice color choice for a top and tonneau on a true silver car...way classy car.
A young lady stopped by Sunday in an Ivory car, looking oh, so classic. She just stopped in to give John Steele a wedgy I'm told. Norma grimmaced almost as much as John. The things we do for customer service, eh John?
Maybe someone got more pics to post?
We are without exception, a classy bunch of guys in all, with very good taste in cars!

All in good fun, buddy.
Believe it or not, I actually envisioned you as a used Speedster salesman.
"No dear, it wasn't a taxi, that's yellow primer..."
"We're actually losing money on the deal..."
and my personal favorite,
"I'm just helping out my Dad until my rock band gets a record deal..."

Mike,
thanks for letting me sit in your sweet speedster. The interior was beautiful!
I am actually considering a Rolling kit from John as a future project. The upholstry guy that did your steering wheel etc. did a fab job.
Hope to talk again.

Just added more pics. I'm have no idea why the thumbnails on two of them don't show a pic. but if you fondle them gently with your mouse them will jump up. Check out the powder blue one. This guy just showed up and is from Santa Cruz. He painted the car by hand in his driveway.
What a great bunch of cars and folks.

Patrick,
The pic you forwarded to me direct could go on site if Theron was on vacation... I'd caption it, " A toast to Jake..."
Thanks!
