I picked up an E Stopp from SEMA last year for my bug project . Its a electric accuated emergency brake system. http://www.estopp.com I'm really thinking of getting another one for the Speedster.

I think my wife's Subaru Outback has one of those. To set the ebrake, all you do is push a button in on the dash and then you hear an electric motor run near the back and that's it......the ebrake is set. To release it you pull the button out and it lets go. Pretty slick.
I like it, eliminate the ugly center e-brake lever
I like that a lot. How is it working on your bug, and where would you mount it on a Speedster? How much room does it take up?
My bug is a bit on the custom side. V6 up front BMW & Porsche rear suspension and its 24 inches longer. So I have plenty on mounting room.
My speedster has a custom counsel so I have room under it. Stock setup could mount it in the tunnel with a little fabrication .
Hey, Joe, hope you can "stop" down at Corn Daze Deux...

Hmmm... I liike that. How much does a setup like that run, Joe?
$439.99 through speedway motors. I bought mine at SEMA 2012 for less than that. It was a show special special plus a few cocktails.
Corn Daze?? What you smokin Rich?
$439.99!!! Um... Never mind.
But a manual parking brake is much better for sliding around corners on wet surfaces. Most rally drivers rely on the e-brake for that purpose.
You can feather it as much as you want.
They use a steering brake. depending on the setup it locks the left or right side for tight turns.
