Like the rolling hills of PA - we've had ups and some major downers my good man, but it's beautiful all the same!

The biggest family calamity has been my recent layoff (managing a Pharma Design Studio) Sucked for closing on a house. It still didn't stop us from moving forward - we just got tired of paying mortgage for flakey landlords. Remember my last one? this one turned out to be the same. After 4yrs searching we found an excellent deal in a very nice city 30 min north - Fairfield CT. We should be closing by the end of this month.

Gave me time to put some work on the speedy. Finally learned how to do a valve adj. Someone suggested a go-no-go feeler that made it pretty simple! And she's running great - knock on wood. Got rid of the smoking issue by adding a small can of engine restore after much hesitation - worked like a charm

I also fabricated leather door stops, replaced the exhaust with a tri-mil euro supplied by Mickey(sounds great by the way), put in a power pulley for a little more hp (now my temp is finally up in the 190-195 range) It never ever actually got into working temp before. Made an oil temp/dip stick combo (cooking thermometer)... somewhat busy

Sorry to see that I missed your road trip into NYC with Teresa. Would love to have met up next time you are both up this way.

Cheers - Mel
We make that trip once or twice a week, and she works in CT from time to time. She did a job in Greenwich a while back in someone's back yard. Record company exec or some such.
We're not making plans to move her to MD or for me to move to NYC any time soon. We're also overdue to connect with Danny up that way and we're promised out to the DeWalt hacienda for some tin and wires work, but the late summer looks promising.
The Sloppy Jalopy is grounded at the moment for brake replacement; I'll be done with that soon enough.
Glad you went the home-ownership route. Good time to do that 'round here. Lots of house for the dollar in this area -- hope it's the same for you! Glad to hear things are up. Cheers!
