need a mechanic

I have a co-worker who needs a VW mechanic in the Diamond Bar area.
can anyone recommend a repair shop in that area????

Try Larry Jowdy in Ontario. He posts here with some regularity on technical issues, but I can't figure out how to find him on the Registry. Maybe someone can help with that.

Anyway, he is well recognized as an hands-on guy for our aircooleds. He is also the moderator of spyderclub. So your co-worker with the newly acquired giha can find Larry easily at spyderclub.

Thanks Larry, he is a co-worker rather than a friend and he has a few VW products, come to find out they are not of the older variety, one is a Jetta and another is a water cooled bus....

Latest update on 58 Ghia....
should be running today....changed out the tranny to an updated one (3:88 with syncro, unlike the original 58) found out the trans axels were shorter than any of the ghias from 60 on, so I had to use my original ones, no problems, now everything is like new....
still need tires....

Sounds good Vince go get some rubber and let's drive... It's starting to get very HOT in LA.. LOL...
