Greetings all! I've received several private messages throughout the year asking about progress against Lawing. Without saying much but to ease your curiosity, to much disappointment and false hopes, we haven't gotten any closer to resolving things.
When something solid happens and repayment is made I'll let you all know first thing. (Though it seems pigs will fly sooner than anyone gets us the help we require).
It's an ongoing frustration and sickens me to hell when I think about it.
Anyone here local TN folk that knows what Lawing has been up to?

My 2 year contract deadline just came and went without a peep from SAS. Ive tried to contact him for the past few months (mostly email) and gotten no response. I, too, would love to know if anyone has had any success contacting Steve. I'm livid with the whole situation, especially the lack of communication. Hopefully someone out there has more answers!
A lot of info here on that situation and none of it is reassuring .....SL is what he is and this has gone on for many years . Forget about the BBB as in most cases all the offending business gets is " demerits" so that is a waste of time as well as retaining an Attorney as SL has been sued many times over. Also a local Knoxville TV Station aired an investigative report a good number of years ago. IMHO genuine results are possible by going right to the top and contact the office of the the TN Attorney General.
Alan is right, there is not much encouraging news. Guys who have spent their entire life cheating people know the legal loopholes. To read about others in the same situation, check out the Better Business Bureau complaints by Googling "Specialty Auto Sports complaints".

I reported SL to the attorney general a few years ago. Nothing came of it, obviously...

I considered having him do a build when I started down this road, but something about his pitch just didn't seem right. I dodged a bullet, but I was just fortunate, and decided on buying an existing car. The need for immediate gratification saved me a bunch of money it would appear.
I am truly sorry for those who took the scumbag at his word.

I wish I knew my boyfriend when he signed up for this car 9 yrs ago. I only learned about it 6 yrs ago when we started dating and I was super skeptical that it had been 3 yrs at the time and no progress pics. He said Lawing didn't know how to send pics I SAID BULLSHIT! He sent me the website and that's all it took for me to know it was a scam. It looked like a circus clown threw up on my screen.
It wasn't long after I got to harping on him about it bc I feared statute of limitations being a problem and then when Lawing fell off the face of the earth I finally got him to get on board with the idea that Lawing isn't just an old idiot that's slow moving like he thought he was but in fact a scammer running a pyramid scheme taking advantage of dozens of people.
