Hello Everyone,

Well my car should be getting it's paint job in the next couple weeks and I have decided on silver (black interior) and I'm just not sure of which silver to go with. I have seen arctic silver and other late model silvers but what about polar silver? Is this color a more "correct" color for a speedster? Does it have a less metalic look? Any insight would be greatly appreiated.

Alohas,

I think VW used a 'Polar Silver' in the early 60's on some of their Bugs. Actually, it might be the VW guys trying to get their Bugs to look more like Porsches by using the correct Porsche silver of that era. I think the correct one is 'Polar Silver', but I could be wrong.

Are you looking for a more metallic paint or just a regular gloss silver? I think Subaru uses a glossy silver for their WRX. The Audi silver seems to be really nice, not too metallic and not too 'plain.'

Does anyone know the paint code for that yellow speedster in the members files, under 'color combinations' ? That is a beautiful car.

Wow, there are some awesome cars in that link above. Nice paint jobs. No offense to anyone with red, silver, black or white, but I enjoy seeing a variety of colors on these cars. There are a few silver/blue toned ones, a nice powder blue one, sweet lookin' burgundy one, and a nice green one w/ hardtop (the coupe is also nice).

BTW - anyone know anything about the silver one, on the bottom row, third from the left? It is the photo of the engine compartment. That guy has a pretty sano setup that looks quite serious. I would love to know more.

alohas all,
Joel
