Does anyone have a heater control handle with the round black knob they want to part with? It's one of the handles that are located beside the floor shift. Thanks.

Sierra Madre carries the two round knobs for early and late 356"s
Part #: 695.424.791.00
Part #: SMC.424.791.00
Not sure if these are the same as early VW.
Red knob produces more heat!
I need both parts - the handle and the knob. For some reason one was missing on my Speedster. The knob is a ball shape about 1" in diameter.
I didn't see the handle when I searched a couple of places. CIP1 has a round golf ball size knob, black. I searched on the site, under "heater". But of course I don't know what the handle looks like. "heater" search there brought up about 5-6 pages of related parts, perhaps.....
Bruce - There is just one handle to control the rear heater flaps -- the other was for the Bug under rear seat or right at feet flappers. The cable to rear is dual - looks like a Y.
Greg,
Super, I'll check it out. Thanks!
I believe I have one you are welcome to. Let me check the stash cabinet and get back to you.
Found this diagram - right side is for rear heater boxes.
Greg, Thanks for the info. I was thinking each handle adjusted each side of the front vents, had forgotten about the rear seat flappers.
Jack, Thanks but I now realize I won't need the handle.
I had old VW and think pulling that lever was just psychological - hence the red knob was even hotter! By time I drove 12 miles to college in NJ there was a place on windshield size of your fist defrosted in winter. (And I smelled like I had been operating a chain saw).
