Gerd,

That pic isn't big enough but the wheels look like centerlines. I've got a set on the blazer project we have. Weld makes a similar wheel, but I'm pretty sure those are Centerlines. Not sure they still make that exact one as I bought my set about eight years ago. The bolt pattern could provide some difficulty. Centerline did make a wide 5 for VW but not sure if they made anything else that was european. Weld and Crager also had a similar wheel.

This is my blazer's wheel - sorry for the dirt.

The car is a 1953 Pre-A owned and commissioned by Randall Yow. The rear fenders have been widened via wedge cutting and the rockers were extended downwards to give it a lowered "look" but still keep suspension travel. It has a sunken number plate box and four traditional 356 tear drop tail lights set on upwards angles. Shaved trim, electric doors and a huge stupid scoop on the rear deck lid.

Five speed transaxle, four wheel discs, '71 VW Type IV engine bumped up to 2.7 litres with around 195 hp and 200 foot pounds torque, and dressed out to look like a 911 mill.

The wheels are custom made 16 inch aluminum items.

Randall Yow is pretty well-known in the restoration biz.
I found a link to lots of pictures of what appears to be a very similar car to the one GERD asked about...or, it's (more likely) the same car painted silver.
Either way, it's an interesting "take" on the Outlaw idea. I like it..especially the tail-lights. Very imaginative.
The asking price for this beauty was $100k, however. Pleasant dreams.
