The Baby blue was actually one of the colours that I was looking at becuase of the fact it just LOOKS classy and has a nice vintage flair to it. Every other speedster and his brother over here are either red/ white/ silver or black, no-one's prepared to try something different.

I ended up going with the Porsche Ivory..........also a very classy vintage looking colour, that would look wrong on any other car, but on a speedy...........it just works. Do what looks good to you. You're the one afterall who has to drive it.

Good luck.

John,

Carey offers a "Merlot" paint, but it is now an extra cost upgrade on the color charts. Mine really turns heads and I don't look at the color as being a "Red"...instead a very nice choice of an excellent wine and of course a whiskey tan interior with matching top and tonneau. (Macallans or Aberlour from Scotland)

Thanks Gordon, for the heads-up on the 356 event! I've been watching that site as well for events to go to. Unfortunately.... work, work, work gets in the way and I'll be winging my way to far off lands from now till well into August. Little sympathy from most folks when they know where I fly to but my husband is on vacation and is out driving Speedy without me! I was thinking of taking the key off the battery kill switch! ;) Just kidding! If only I could match those powerball numbers....
Thanks, Susan,

Carey and the mechanics at Special Edition, home of the Beck Speedster and Spyder did a great job on this car. The bad news is that the color "Merlot" has become an added cost item. Carey told me that the color is very difficult to apply on to the car. I'll be doing a photo shot for Carey so that the added accessories can be showcased on their web site.
