Aaron,
I have an interesting breakdown on the hardtop that you mentioned. This hardtop was extended on the front. This required a complete re-profiling of the top to make it flow. The only thing that I don't like about the glaspar hardtop is the rear side wings.
I am extending the top at the back. I am also raising the back of the hardtop about an inch and a half to allow clearance for a rollbar and provide additional headroom as well as a slightly larger rear window. The goal is to provide a functional and appealing hardtop that is made to fit a replica for a fraction of the cost of the others. As soon as I get the rear of the hardtop ironed out, it will be on to developing a rear window out of Lexan.
I will be sure to give you a holler when everything is done.
Jim
Great posts on the various hardtop projects,, Gent's !!
There are more good photo's of Mr. Gamble's top at this link:

Jim,, do you think an example of your top will be present at the Carlisle Car Show ?? It is a 10+ hour drive for me to attend. But it is efforts like yours that make it well worthwhile.
I will be watching for more photo's. A hardtop may wel be a better option for me to pursue, rather than a soft top, for my 359. As far as I know,, the cockpit is dimensionally the same as a 356.
thanks,,
Alan
