It's time to touch up the paint on the speedster. I stopped by Manny, Moe and Jack's place and found there were about gazillion different silver color touch paints available.
Has anyone found a perfect color match for the metallic silver color for the 2005 Vintage Speedster?

Your best bet is to contact a auto body supply or some Napa Stores they have surface camera can take a picture of the paint and compute a formula to match. ALAN
I called vintage for some touch up on my silver 2006 and was told it was a factory 944 color.

I dropped by the place that painted Pearl (a local auto body place) sometime last fall and they did that "Camera-on-the-paint" thing that Alan mentioned.
As we all suspected, even though she's "Pearl white", there are a bazillion versions of "Pearl White", all different, not to mention the color shade changing over time (like, how do you fade white?).
What the "Gonculator 5000" paint computer spit out for a mix formula was different for painting the car (two-part, base color, then metallic plus clear top coat) versus touch-up (single part with everything mixed).
I got a touch-up bottle to the new formula and it's matched perfectly - WAY better than the 20-year-old stuff I still had from when she was painted!
Gordon, I've heard the same thing about black paint.
You'd think that 'Black' is universally the same... but apparently it's not
I took my car to a local auto paint store, they scanned my car with their handy dandy paint scanner and came up with a bottle that matched for under $15
