Need the name of a good transport carrier

I just bought a 1970 VW pickup, which is in Naples, Florida. I need to get it shipped to me...all the way to British Columbia, Canada. Can anyone give me the name of a good transport company?

Pick up a copy of "Hemmings". They always list a bunch of auto transport firms.

VIP moved our car from CA to NH in a reasonalble amount of time. The car was in a covered car hauler. Eighteen wheeler style. They kept in touch with us the whole trip. The price was ok 1100.00 for 300 miles. I can send you thier number from home if your interested.

Ask John at JPS. I think he knows of a couple.

That should have three thousand miles. not 300.

I selected Autolog (out of Linden, NJ), they have a good record with the BBB.
Their quote came in at ~ $1,800, NJ - HNL; one of the thing I liked about the company is that they ship you car in an enclosed rail car to protect it from the elements.

Thanks for the info. I've ended up going with a transport firm that does a lot of cross border shipping (Hansen's Forwarding). The car is going to Toronto and then to Vancouver, by rail.
By the way, the 1970 VW pick up that I bought is powered by a 2.7 Porsche motor, with a Porsche 5 speed tranny.
