Ricardo - Not sure how you can say that VS is better than CMC and that's why you purchased VS. My understanding is that most VS cars are built by VS (vice kit). CMC did not build cars --- they built and supplied kits only (factory color gel coated not painted or just primed - which is nice feature). They haven't produced anything since about 1993. Did you mean to compare factory completed VS to StreetBeasts? Or were you comparing a new VS kit to a 10 year old CMC kit? With CMC it was up to the builder's experience, time and $$$ as to the resulting car. The kits sold for less than $9k plus you chassis/engine and time (think the manual says 200 hrs). If that was all that was invested - then yes a $30k VS is indeed better (although I greatly favor the IM product).

Heck, I've seen restored early Corvettes that I like much better than the OEM "as out the factory door" ones. When I ask the owners what he has invested its usually in the $40-75k ball park --- gulp, weren't they only $5600 new?
