Thanks guys. I just went over to the shop and dug through stacks of magazines I refuse to throw away. I was sure I had that issue. Three boxes later I gave up.
Yes, Paul you got it right. I am working on getting my list and checking it twice. I think Henry just sent me pictures of that Excellence featured IM fresh out of the shop and over where he usually takes build shots. Wasn't it a 59 Carrera relplica, with the roll bar and all? The pics I just got on e-mail show all angles and I think it looked like 911 twins coming out the rear. He's off today and I will talk to him tommorow about it. Paul, call me anytime C 405-615-7384 except from 2pm until I wake up after a colonoscopy today. I'm wearing a black thong for the Doc's thrill factor. Ok, I'm not, but I may ask him for a reach around, or simply to blow in my ear. I may be a scope slut, but I DO expect him to have some bedside manners.
Brooks, we haven't met, but I noted your post on an IM build. Silver sounds right... I like the look you mentioned. There was a silver IM at Knott's belonging to a neat Porsche lover, Charlene. She had a shade of silver that I thought looked right, it was Zermatt Silver. I think it may be a deeper shade than Geos. Might be worth looking into. She doesn't have pictures up, but there are some under events, and back in April you will find cars at Knotts. Also, just for reference, if you are looking over Speedsters for inspiration, go to the 356 Registry site, and I think under "what's new" and you'll see their annual East meet. There are at least a thousand pictures of 356s and many, many great shots of Speedsters.. a few GTs, a four cammer, many colors, and etc. Really good visuals to get some ideas from.
TC... thanks! I'm calling in and ordering that issue today! I'm not doing a 911 powered car, but I did want to read that article over again.
