Low light convertibles aren't a dime a dozen so if it's in good shape (I already see that it's missing the side mouldings) it's better to keep it and sell the Speedster; you can always buy another one when things are going better in the money department...maybe an Intermeccanica next time...wink, wink...
I committed to buying the ghia tonight provided he could answer a battery of question I had. I am trying to figure out a way of keeping both the Ghia and the speedster, but it isn't likely since I don't want payments. if I don't turn him off with all my questions, which I feel I have a right to ask, and if the ghia is as represented when I get to Florida to inspect it, then MR356 will most likely be for sale at Paso Robles, but I have whatever time is needed to get what I think it's worth...
If it turns out to be a not so great a deal, no harm no foul, I lose 300.00 for a round trip ride to Florida......
story is, car belonged to collector, he died, daughter sold to current owner who re-did the pans, put in a new interior and painted mouse grey (suppose to be original color of car) running a rebuilt 1600 with freeway flyer tranny.....
claims I won't be disappointed, even sent me copy of title and license to prove it's his and clear.....

looks like I'm flying to Tampa next week....
to be continued.....

Once again, let me make this perfectly clear, if I sell the speedster that does NOT mean you guys (and gals) get rid of me.....
I'll just be the "Ugly Duckling" of the group

Maybe my new plate will be "UGLY356" I bet that's not taken...
Oh, anybody wanna buy my plates and be the new "MR356".....
I realize it will be a hard act to follow
Vince you have to follow your heart... what a minute.. heart.. Well never mind... LOL.. You know and we all know that with or without MR356 you are welcomed here and especially on the runs... Cars are replaceable items, YOU my friend are NOT!

Do what you gotta do then we'll see you in a few weeks! IN the Ghia or MR356 whatever, just remember to bring the adjustable pole for Angela!

Speedster "D"

Remember you gave me my name!
Vince, that's a really good-looking piece of rolling art. If that thing works like it's advertised to, I'd say you'd be okay selling MR356 with only little pangs of regret.
You don't see those things every day, either -- part of the reason the Speedster's lines appeal to me. And it might be nice for the Left Coasters to bring a Gee-Yaw along to answer the obvious question ...
