Never-assembled Flared CMC Speedster On eBay $6,500

No donor, just the unassembled kit and it's in Oregon.

Amazing that unmolested CMCs still exist! He probably still has the original shipping crate too. They are still (although gone in 1992)the most prolific supplier of Speedsters! I'd love to see total produced by classic, california (wide body) and 359. That kit was over $8k in 1990 and he has lots of additional parts (Formula France steering wheel). Even Vintage gauges still in the box.

The original owner had the seats assembled, bolted the front and rear hinges decided to lift the hood with a screw driver hence the photo of the fiberglass chip, became disenchanted and called it a day. It's worth around $3,500 as it will take a minimum of another $9k and for the first time builder, 40 hrs...ummm I meant 400 hours to build it.

Yeah, that's pretty much what came with my Red kit from New Hampshire, only I got a black, leather covered steering wheel (to go with the Black interior) and a rolling pan (which I only kept the central tunnel from - the rest got replaced). I even have a very similar chip in the hood from someone dropping it even though it was wrapped. I paid just a little more than what Alan recommends and we picked it up and brought it home (and even cleaned the garage afterwards!)

Still, that's a kit in pretty good shape for the years and about as complete as you'll get w/o a roller underneath.

Sounds like it would be a great buy for someone in Canada. It could honestly be imported as simply car parts.
