As most of you know Henry is working towards offering a 170hp engine as an option in IMs. The engine is built by CB Performance. I was down at Intermeccanica yesterday and saw the car with the 170hp engine in it. Henry is testing it out and says it is very impressive. Cruising at 70, you step on the gas, and it takes off. He has a dyno sheet for the engine and I will see about getting a copy of it and posting it if anyone is interested.

I saw George's car as well. Lots of work yet to be done! They have done some nice custom glass work to make room for some of the special bits.

They are also working on a mid-flare car that is getting a Porsche 3.2L and 5 speed. Looks like it might be headed for a race track?

If you want to see pictures of any of this stuff, let me know.

Yup, if the one you saw had Recaro seats, then it's the same car. The original owner had a really close ratio transmission and something like a 4.11 r&p so the car really gets up and goes, but on the freeway it revs about 4500rpm at cruise. Henry says he is going to pull that tranny and replace it with something more useful.

The pictures don't do the car justice as it is really nice. Interesting that he is selling it today for the same price it sold it for in 1999. Of course it is a bit older, and the new ones are a lot more money now.

Well, I didn't get any pictures of the car or the 170hp engine as it was up on the hoist, but I did get some of the mid-flare that is getting the 3.2 flat 6. Among other things the car has a fuel cell and 4 wheel disk brakes with cross drilled rotors. Looking at the engine and then the car it looks like there is no way it is going to fit.
