Well, sorta new. I ordered a ceramic coated A-1 header and muffler set up from Tiger at A-1 yesterday. (714/836-7201).

He now has a model that is made for a Speedster replica and fits a Vintage car well. The one I ordered is for a Type IV engine in a Vintage Speedster and Tiger will add a bung for the AFR sensor.

The big news is that with this set up, you do NOT have to remove the muffler to remove the valve covers which is something that used to put me off about these set ups but that's fixed now. athe header and muffler tucks way up under the body and is not a low hanging affair at all.

Lead time is about 1 week but mine will be 2 weeks because the ceramic coating guy is off or the holidays.

Prices for these are:

Mild steel, $557.

Ceramic coated, $657

Stainless steel, $895

I went for the ceramic coated one because it will keep it's polished aluminum look whereas the stainless is going to discolor and take a lot of polishing to stay shiny.

If it fits as well as advertised---- great, otherwise Jake is going to custom fab one for my car. I'm hoping the A-1 fills the bill tho.

I haven't talked to John since last May/June. I told him I was going to put the exhaust on my spare 1835 motor. We all get caught up on life and time just seems to pass by so quickly. I can't believe it's almost 2011! I should call him and see what's up. He seems like a real nice guy, probably just buisy like the rest of us.....
Merry Christmas to all!
