Wow,
I had to fly to Philly for business, gone 2 days and I come home to this.

So here is my stance.
First off, everybody just cool down. It is very hard to express feelings in a written manner. Many times we can't gauge the tone in which someone wrote a post.

Advertising:
Paid advertisers receive a link back to their site in every post they make. They are also free to post unsolicited advertisements, for their products.
Vendors which DO NOT pay for advertising are welcome to visit and answer questions about their products as long as it is solicited. I realize that this policy creates a huge gray area. Vendors could easily have others ask about their products only so they can respond with information.

I'm not into this site for the money, there is no money. As a programmer, maintaining this site and it database constantly keeps refining my knowledge. At the same time, I'm not willing to front the money each month. So the advertising and donation program was born. I just spent $250 on a software upgrade for the server and happily, none of it came from my pocket. I can't express enough to members how much I appreciate the support.

I don't want anyone to leave this site, the combined knowledge of our members is staggering. When new people ask a question, it is usually answered before I can reply, that is unique to this site! I try hard to foster a friendly atmosphere and with the exception of a thread here or there, helpful friendly advice is what you will find. If that helpful advice comes from someone who has a product to sell, that's OK. I welcome the help. On the other hand, if you make 30-40k off of a prospect source paid for by someone else, that doesn't look so good.

I didn't bring up the topic of advertising. Although I have talked with Jake and removed posts which I thought crossed the line in the past. I welcome Jakes posts on this site, but we have a very tough symbiotic relationship.

Hey George, Whats up stranger? Where have you been and why havn't you called me? Henry says your car is the fastest one he has ever driven, including all the 911 engine cars. When do you get it? Henry told me that he was glad I put such a small cam in it. I didn't have the heart to tell him it has 320 degrees advertised duration. he says it pulls from idle to, well he didnt know where. After he told me the fan belt was rolled over, I figured it out!

Give me a call on my cell, 559-805-8094

Mayybe some of you find Jake a liitle abrasive at times. But I fail to see why you have a problem with what he said in this thread. I'm personlly glad that he informed us of the problems that he encounterd with the aluminum case. What should he have done? I think he did the right thing and I appreciate it.
