Nice piece.  I have the same wheel and would like to know how to remove the billet ring around the horn button for access to the wheel mounting screws. I don't want to start prying on it.  Thanks!

But that's exactly what is necessary, although it doesn't take a lot of force.  The ring has two plastic inserts that fit over the heads of the two bolts holding the wheel on.  The plastic gives enough for that to hold the ring on.  Doesn't take a lot of force to get it off.

Yrekadad, you don't need to pry it. There are six hex-head bolts holding the wheel to the hub. The round billet ring simply presses on these bolts, there is plastic/rubber inside holes in the billet ring to hold it in place. Just pull it straight off with your fingers, the horn button should come with it.

P.S., make sure ignition is off, otherwise the horn will beep when anything metal touches the column! Kinda scares the crap out of you if the car is in the garage.

So these are an aluminum cover for an existing hub adapter that bolts in?  By the bolt pattern inside I assume it uses a Grant hub inside?

The reason I ask is that the pictured splines will only fit about 20% of the Becks out there (the very early first 400 CA kits).  Obviously this wasn't designed as a replacement for my cars, but I know I'll have people ask, so if the proper hub is available then your market grows quite a bit.

I think there are more than a few speedster owners out there who would like to move their steering wheel a bit closer to the dash.  I know I would.

I agree, which is why we have a 4", 3" and 2" option, but I like the clean look of Daniel's hub a lot more than the stock black Nardi wrinkle or rubber cover (for some applications).  

As for the position of the wheel, it also depends on the dish of your wheel.  Most stock Nardi wheels have a nice 1 to 1.5" dish to them, but some of the really trick VDM and Lempert customs are flat and with a 2" hub my knuckles hit the dash.

We use the Grant insert since EDM'ing the splines wouldn't be cost effective. So we could use them on Becks by getting the correct spline insert.

I think I have a '67ish VW column(from Greg Leach). The Grant adapter I ordered didn't fit though, I still think I have it somewhere. It is a smaller hole than the one that fits.

The reason I thought it was '67-70 column is the turn signal was all metal, with three wires for turn and the extra two for headlight dimmer.

It is the same spline as a '72 911. I had a damaged 911 wheel, so I drilled the rivets out and permanently "borrowed" the center.

Carey, every once in a while my fingers will just touch the windshield under extreme driving conditions. But not the dash or turn signal lever. By extreme I mean getting crossed up on the AutoX course!

I received the hub and it bolted right into place.   VERY nicely made piece excellent quality materials and workmanship.   

Clearance between the wheel and the turn signal lever is close but that was to be expected. Giving up one to get another.  

Considering the cost and ease of instillation I give Daniel and Seduction Motors a BIG THUMBS UP.   Thanks for helping me with this.
