KILLER color!!
Very happy with my sale on BaT today. Thanks to @Troy Sloan and @WNGD for your comments and support. I think it helped a lot. They kept me on edge as no serious bidders came in until 2 minutes. I think I need to go take a puff to calm down. Ready for the new one now!

Congratulations. Someone got a good car for a good price. Do you know where the buyer lives?
Seattle with a second home in Palm Springs. I turned him on to SOC so he’ll probably be with us here soon.

That was a very good price! I expected it to go for $60k with the Suby motor.
@MikeMCongratulations on the sale!
If I wasn’t moving I would have held out for $54k which is what I thought it would go for, but it was close enough. My reserve was $47.
Troy I know you would have gotten more, but I am happy to have thoroughly enjoyed the car and to have gotten my entire investment back.
.
Mike, thanks for doing your part in driving up the value of my car collection (the Impreza hatchback isn't helping at all).
Earlier this week, a pretty basic Kirk-era 'curly wire' VS with a 1915 went for over $40K.
Until now, my wife had never thought of me as a savvy investor.
Lol @Sacto Mitch. If we never married, we would never know how dumb we are 😂
@Sacto Mitch I watched that car and mine is worth well more than 10k over that one. The guy who bought that one put it on EBay for $73k. I want some of what he’s smoking. That car is worth what he paid for it.
Im so happy to have dipped my big toe in on my first speedster and not taking a bath on it!
Howdy Gentleman!
I would like to introduce myself and thank MikeM! I am the fellow who bought his car today on BAT. I am grateful and excited to have it as an addition to my collection. Stoked!

That's all that matters!
You got that car for an excellent price! Welcome to the Madness!!!
Thank You Troy!
Mike know that I am grateful and looking forward to my ownership experience or the madness!
Cheers!
Welcome to the Madness, @RMtotheC!!! You have officially located the most congenial bunch of car guys on the web - in our own opinions.

Well .... most of us
Ow we’re talking! The seats look good when it all comes together. Not much longer hopefully!
Oh yeah, I'm likin' that!
Anna just sent me these photos. Car is ready and will be shipped to my house in Arizona in a few weeks, as I am still in the process of moving. I couldn’t be more happy with the looks. It may not be for everyone, but it turned out exactly to my vision and I love it. FYI. Build took one year almost to the day.

Looking sharp, Mike! Perusing through the thread, I caught that it's 5x 205, irs with discs but please refresh my memory- what did you settle on for an engine and wheels/tires?
@MikeM It Looks Great Mike!!! We are flying to Phoenix tomorrow and driving down to Rocky Point In Mexico. To bad we weren’t not going to be long in Phoenix so we could meet up I would love to see it in person. Enjoy the cigar & the New Ride!!!
Thanks @Former Member. Sorry we can’t hook up. I’m in Tucson. If you or anyone lives close or visits Tucson, please ping me.
Have a great time in Mexico. Why aren’t you driving your clown car down there?
KIDDING
WOW! Your car looks awesome. Here's wishing you many miles of open roads and top-down cruising!
I'm guessing you'll be sitting in the garage for most of the night just staring at your Speedster.
.
Like everything about it, Mike, except for the plastic seat covers.
Ignore what your geriatric neighbors are telling you. You'll just have to risk spilling your protein shake on the fancy, plaid seats.
I hear a little lemon juice will get most stains right out.
.
Live the color combo!!
Beautiful car, Mike! I know you can't wait to break it in. Enjoy your crusing!
Wow! I’m in love. Beautiful speedster. Enjoy! My only question?….what cigars do you enjoy?
@MikeM that’s a good looking build. Color pops and seats intrigue. That’s what you call style.
And how did you get photos of your build! I was told that’s not an option.
Congratulations Mike! Your new ride looks amazing! Looks very vintage German.
I would be curious after a few months of driving what you impression comparison of the engine in both your new and old car.
Enjoy and rock on!
