Now that's what I would call a truly "interesting" project!
I'd do it! But for $5,000.00 he'd have to throw in a new body or at least the rear clip and the torsion bars, arms, and whatever else got melted off the pan.
The rear section of the subframe probably needs to be replaced also. The fire probably anealed it to the consistancy of butter.

Cory...can't be sure about the Lubium, my friend, but it looks like you might need some of that 'cheap anti-sieze' that Michael Morris described under the 'spark plug' thread! LOL
