The kit includes:
A snow shovle that folds down to fit under the hood after you find your car.

seat heaters

window defrosters

engine block heater

and optional snow plow attactment for the front of your speedster.

I developed this kit here in Sunny Southern California has I was driving down the highway in 70 degree temps because I felt bad for you east coasters that have no idea when you might be able to drive your fun little 356.

Just kidding I'll feel real sorry for you guys when I'm driving home tonight with the top down...... :)

I believe I shall go for a drive this weekend, just to do it.
Then, I believe I will thaw out with a bunch of hot chocolate, which I believe is taxed at 300 percent of its value as a luxury item in California.
Perhaps I shall do all my cocoa drinking in my Hawaiian shirt.
If I can button it over my parka.

Damned Californians. :)

Michael B -

I'd loan you mine but we have yet to get our roads cleared out here in the Kickapoo - Brimfield area. Driveway is clean, dry and ready to go, but no access to the street or, I understand, the highways, 150 and 74.

Stan, are you guys in the next county OK?

Truly a monumental storm for this part of the lower 48. I think this would be a non event for our friends in Canada and the Rockies.

Stay warm and dry. Predicting -11F at a minimum tonight.

Bob

Bob, Michael B,

Yeah- it's hard to know what we got. I had a 50 ft long drift down my drive, about 3 ft deep. My snow-blower didn't quit, but the township guy didn't plow the subdivision out until 6:00 tonight- and he plowed the entire cul-de-sac into my mail-box. I blew out 30 ft into the road so he wouldn't block me in, and he still shoved everything in my lap.

FWIW, I was out all afternoon running service calls. We're 99% good-to-go (road-wise), and should be back in business tomorrow AM (despite what dist. 150 thinks).
Stan / Michael B:

Drove to Bloomington today on busiess, Worst road conditions were between Kickapoo and Morton on the 474/74. Took the entire ramp from 74 to 474 sideways on ice. Puckered me right up!

Morton to Bloomington - 7 cars and two 18 wheelers in the median all in a two mile stretch from Carlock to the scales. That was the only spot where anybody was off the road. Something about that stretch of highway that just isn't right. Always something bad going on there.

Final tally - 17" with drifts up to 48" on my little 3 acre plot in the country. I've had enough for one winter.

As promised ...

I didn't really go too far, but it was nice to take the Hoopty out for a little while a couple days ago. It was in the thirties, and bone-dry out.

She got some fresh gas and I checked all the the little things ... then surveyed the crud on the chassis and tins from having to drive her in the rain at the first of the year. Salty roads and rain are not a good combination, if you like to keep things clean.

I'll be saving the cleaning job for a warmer day -- and if the groundhog is right, that shouldn't be but a few weeks from now. Nothing's rusty, so I have that going for me.

Hoo-yah! What's our countdown, Lane?

Yeah, the weather really blows here. February is pushing record levels of snowfall for Detroit. My plan was to get Natalie out of storage on 3-5 so that I could drive her back to Special Edition for some upgrades: oil cooler, oil temp gauge, lap belts, and, most importantly, a hydraulic clutch. Now, I've pushed that back to 3-12 and have my fingers and toes crossed. If I miss the 12th, I'm down for two more weeks because the guy that stores my car (clearly smarter than me) is going on a cruise.
