My VS speedster will be here tomorrow, and Kirk mentioned in an email that since it was a new engine, and after sitting a bit it can take 10 minutes for the lifters to pump back up.

Can anyone explain to me what he means, and what I need to do? I don't think I can get kirk today or tomorrow, and the car arrives in the am tomorrow.

Any help would be appreciated.

This isn't cause for concern. The oil in the lifters drains out over time. When you start the engine it may "click" for a bit while the lifters "pump back up" with oil, once they do the valve noise will stop. Go to the "Knowledge" section and look for entry #158. George wrote a nice piece on these lifters and how to adjust them.
