Any suggestions for a new exhaust for a VW type 1, 2100CC ,original engine option in my Intermeccanica, somebody replaced it with a Bugpack ceramic, which is very loud, I would really prefer a any quieter dual exhaust to replace this, would also look better, any suggestions?

The muffler can be swapped for a quieter one just take it to a good muffler shop that can weld stainless. especialy if you have the $1.100 dollar sidwinder set up that is a real nice unit and worth it. Post a pic and and if it is .. If it is? a Type 1? I'd ask ya what ya want for the unboltabe muffler. part of it Mine had the twin tip setup..
In a final gesture of good will Get up with Tiger at A1 muffler that made it and see if he has a T-1 or T4 quiet package. for your application. he sells just the muffler part of it.. I have one here the muffler part is all mangled from a wreck last year.. If you just buy a quiet muffler package from Tiger Im seriouly interested If you had a type 4 . as hard as they are to fit for exhaust calling Tiger its the best thing you could do..
depending on the setup, yes another muffler or possiably add another muffler to the system, a lot of the mufflers are way too big for these motors.a 2"tube to a 2" core muffler is all that is needed, not these 2 1/2" &biger pos that come with a lot of this stuff,I have a buddy that has sideewinders on all his stuff & the mufflers are awaful sounding.the 2386 in his 912 is way to loud for a street car,I dont know what these guys are thinking or if there thinking when they make these mufflers or just stick one on there.
