The plastic zip ties show no signs of deformity from heat. As long as they're not touching the pipes you should be fine. I had planned on getting metal ones but see no need...

Better safe than sorry. It would only take a minute to change the plastic out to metal. The heat shield wraps I have on my oil lines are held on with metal wire.

Received a new Derale Remote Oil Filter Mount #13049 today from CB.

It has four ports. I have an existing oil cooler and the CB Performance MaxiFlow 3 full flow oil pump.

What is the correct routing of the plumbing between these three?

Should I be using all four ports on the filter mount or plugging two of them?

If I plug two, the oil is being filtered once. If I utilize all four, the oil would be filtered going from the cooler to the engine, and again between the engine and the cooler.

I'm not clear on the plumbing/ hookups if filtering twice is the answer.

Thanks in advance. Any diagrams would be helpful.

I believe that I was mistaken, imagine that. The positioning of the four ports is to facilitate placement options for mounting it. The plugs would always be used, just dependent on where it is mounted. I assume that you would use an "in" port and an "out" port on the same side of the mounting bracket as opposed to on opposite sides of the bracket, meaning the second picture above would be a correct set up.

Sometimes it takes me a while for the obvious to spark in my mind.........

You are correct Bob. The design is to make the installation easier.  You can go in/out from the same side or inline. The way you have it is correct.
