$68.41 plus tax and shipping when bought from Sierra Madre.

Thanks Troy, I actually found the Small Srcipt version for the front fenders at Stoddard but they were a bit more at $85.56, so I am hoping they are maybe a better quality that those from Sierra Madre? I have bought plenty of good items from SM though. Do you happen to know where I can get the rubber seal for the Engine Bay Deck Lid? I have an early IM Carrera Speedster that I am putting a Carrera decklid with louvers on it as soon as I paint it. I'll have to drop the engine to get it to fit properly, but El Guapo said he would help me get that done. Thanks.

I bought plenty of them (both the small and large versions) from Sierra Madre and they have all been nice.
The engine compartment seal is just the VW bus engine compartment seal.  Get it online or from any VW parts store.

I think you are right on the money Troy...what does'nt come from China any more these days. Most likely the same source, Stoddard probably just jacks up the price a bit more than SM because they can! Thanks for the feedback on the engine compartment seal, I've been needing to do this for a while.

I know we're drifting here but since I just put new Bus Engine Tin Seal in my Speedster I can tell you with certainty the shiny side goes down.  Not sure I would actually call it shiny though.  One side is just foam and the other side felt like it was treated with a thicker rubbery product.  That side is protected from the heat of the mufflers and goes down.

And I think Dutch was looking for the Rubber Engine Deck Lid Seal that goes around the lip of the open engine bay where your engine lid closes onto since he is swapping it out with a Carrera Lid.. Dutch???

You are correct Robert, thanks for catching that!

My problem is that I always feel like the pretty side should go up because that's the side you can see!

No worries Troy and that's what I love about this site, we keep each other in check. We never stop learning, and I see that as a good thing!
