Just found you guys and wanted to say hi. Looks like a great community with lots of conversation which I hope to contribute. I just bought an IM Roadster in Meissen Blue. It was built for a doctor in 2013 and I'm happy to be the 2nd owner.

I am lucky enough to be in Vancouver and found the IM brand 15 years ago when I was looking to buy Edward Reisner's flared speedster. I didn't and regrettted it ever since. Then recently, saw a Roadster came up for sale and had to jump on it. Showed my wife and she approved and we made it our anniversary gift and picked it up on our anniversary day.

Now, I'm looking forward to diving into the knowledge base of Roadsters and Intermeccanica.

I was trying to search for westcoast owners but didn't find too much. Anyone here know of any Vancouver or Seattle owner meetups?

Top of the page in the black header bar select "Members". New page opens up and on the right side of the page under "Post Content" in the grey box select "Advanced Member Search".Ne page opens up and in the middle of the page in blue writing is "Search by geographical data" click on that and some new fields open up. Choose your country, choose your zip code, and select how far you want the search to look for members. This can be tricky because it'll list everyone who has ever signed up for a free SOC account. Your best bet is to look for "Supporting Members" and send them a PM. Or you can hover over each name and see when they last visited. It's a rabbit hole of a search as you find yourself trying to find others and at the same time get used to the platform.

Instead of searching by zip code after you select "Members" at the top part of the page next to the blue "Post Content" box it reads "Sort by name" you could change that to "View as map" and zoom in on the area you want to search and find people near you.

At the end of every message are two icons. Find the posted message you want to reply to, hover the cursor over the icon that looks like a gear, and choose 'Reply with Quote' from the pop-up menu.

You can then include the whole quoted post or edit the text (i.e. if you want to delete parts of the original post that don't relate to the point you want to comment about). Or, you can boldface or italicize quoted words you want to emphasize.

After  you've posted any comment, you can go back and edit what you wrote (within one hour of posting it) or delete it if you're having second thoughts. The 'edit' option is under that same 'gear' icon.

Eric, NICE score on that beautiful IM! Here's wishing you & wife many years, miles & smiles of top-down cruising in that bad boy. "Welcome To The Madness" known as replica 356 ownership.

Here is a link to a clip comprised of many of your now fellow SOCers enjoying their rides at various SOC events across the U.S.A. Hope to eventually see you guys at one of these future events.

Yes! I'm looking forward to joining some owners meetups, but I bought this at the end of summer so have to anticipate for next spring. Also, seems like it's hard to find any westcoast meetups?

I think Luis is in Seattle and has a vintage speedster and comments on the list with a lot of great research, he might be our resident Speedster wheel guy

Welcome Eric congrats on the car...

After you get used to the old/new technology you can venture out as You are close to the USA Hwy 1,  that is a trip worth taking in a convert and probably a good time to do it before the snow hits Portland but better in April May next year.

Took my IM down from Van to Monterey and back on it's maiden voyage awesome trip.
