I used to go every year when I lived in NJ as a youngster.  This is 60th year!  Porsche 356 is the featured marque this year. There is a rallye drive on 12th - several covered bridges near buy.

...threatened...

Funny you should say that. I don't  "show" my car. It's a driver, it looks like it and it suits me just fine. As said before, I apologize to no person for amount of dead bugs etc. on the front of my car. Some lout that was parked beside me this year at the Marriott/Carlisle parking lot wiped his finger on my fender one night while I was unpacking and said I should clay bar that thing .  He took me by surprise at the "parking lot" comment and I let it slide but have thought about it since and still do from time to time. Carlisle is changing.

At a local evening meeting  in town recently we parked among the rods as usual. Could be anything...32 deuce, 58 chevy, Roadrunner etc,. ...we just don't care.

I keep my engine hood up and it gets lots of attention. Three local lads were giving more than usual attention to our car and finally said they had a Porsche area down a couple of rows to the left and could get a guy with a 58 Ford to get out of the way if I'd come down into the slot and join them. I declined and they walked away....

New Hope is nice area - right on the Delaware River.  Artsy small town. Lamberville NJ is across river and nice old 1910 feeling to it.  You cross and old Army Corps of engineers steel bridge erected after big storm in 1960's.  Be sure to go to Ringing Rocks State Park in PA and the Mercer Museum and Moravian Pottery and Tile in nearby Doylestown, PA. In NJ near Bell Mountain there's gravity hill (you roll up hill!) and roller coaster road (argh, with lots of deer!)
