New kit car show, July 28th 2007 in Colorado

Everyone, just letting you know that you are all invited to a new kit car show being held this year outside of Denver at Heritage Square amusment park and shopping center in Golden Colorado. This show will be exclusive to kit cars only, so you won't have to share space with tuners and other non-kit car types. Entry is either $5.00 or $15.00 depending on if you want an event t-shirt and other door prises or just want to show your car.

Do I smell an East Meets West event in progress?

what you smell is the hops and barley of Adolph Coors! What a cool town. If you haven't been, it is worth it. Throw in speedsters and the cool mountain air... lane would be drunk the entire time.

Dang, that's only 1,300 miles from here! That's real doable!

Hmmm... It sounds interesting, but 1700+ miles is a little daunting in a Speedster. We'll see how it handles the Carlisle trip - and me, too.

I happen to have a three car wedge trailer and a new Dodge Ram Diesel Dually Ram Quad Cab... Great rates = very do-able

You know, if 3 of you went in on Alan's suggestion, this becomes pretty reasonable. Just book an early plane ticket (cheap). You know your car will be in safe hands!

alan, I will be the first one to book a R/T ticket on the merklin exprss. but I want to be in the truck too for the drive. I don't stink.

Listen up, folks. Chris has been working on this for some time now and he also has the Colorado Cobra club joining in. The location is really fun (amusement park) and it is just west of Denver by a couple of miles. This should be fun. I have belonged to the club for a few years and we have some great members.

I am providing many of the trophies and would really like to see some of them go to Speedster owners. Also, my place is only 45 miles north of this show and anyone coming to Colorado is sure welcome to come up to Loveland to see my cars and I will arrange a trip up to Rocky Mountain National Park and lead a great tour over fantastic mountain roads. (Bet I can find a good place for lunch and a brew, too!)

Dang, Dusty - it would be worth the drive just to see your garage! The spyder's engine builder is in Boulder too. Hmm...

And hey, you right coasters - Charleston SC to Denver CO on Friday before, returning on Monday via United Airlines for $313 round trip.

I'm booked for '07 with loads of irons in the fire, but I could do the Colorado trip and PA in '08 for sure.

I sent off an email inquiry to Jim Youngs last night to get his imput on this upcoming event...

Alan, keep in touch about the trailor offer. I may be able to do it this year, and I'll certainly try and book for next year.

I noticed you have a 4-door truck. Maybe we can negotiate personal transport as well?

(Man, late July is a great time to get outa Charleston to where it's cooler!)

I would be in for a Colorado meet in '08!

Participating in a long line of Speedsters from the West Coast, the East Coast and all points in-between, cruising through the Rockies sounds cool!

If you guys are serious and not blowing smoke I will set up a meeting in '08 here in Colorado and will host it in Loveland with trips throughout the Rocky Mountains and Rocky Mountain National Park. If you are serious I will work out the details and make it a three day gathering that would be talked about for years to come.

Try this for some ideas:
- Cobra museum, Clive Cussler Museum and McLaren Museum ... in ONE DAY!
- Rocky Mtn Natl Park and Estes park and local sites ... ONE DAY!
- tour Coors Brewery and Railroad Museum and mountain drive ...ONE DAY!
All this within 50 miles. Give me your thoughts (no smoke, no dreams, just honest reaction and I will put in some serious time on it)
